The 2010 Lakota West volleyball team is ranked 27th nationally this preseason by prepvolleyball.com. The Firebirds are coming off a 21-3 record last season and return most of the team.

AOWAlex Wagoner, Junior
Boys Soccer
Alex scored both goals in West's 2-0 win over Worthington Kilbourne on Thursday.  Earlier in the Week Wagner, a midfielder, scored West's only goal in the Firebird's season opening game against Moeller by netting a penalty kick.
 
AOWTaylor Wogenstahl, Senior
Girls Golf
Taylor won the first place medal at the Centerville Invitational on Monday leading the Firebirds to a three stroke team victory as well. 
Wogensthal's winning score, a one under par 71 marks her as only the fourth female player in the history of the Lakota school district to record a subpar eighteen hole round.
